Defining Project Success Example: Stakeholders in Healthcare

Updated: Feb 23, 2022

Four independent hospitals were merging into one system to share resources and strengthen community healthcare capabilities. This group of 25 executives had never worked as one team before and many came to the table with poor experiences working with specific individuals in the group.

The objective of the stakeholder engagement was to identify and prioritize a set of clinical benefits that would guide their decision-making during the merger project. Clinical benefits and project success statements they could ALL get behind. The Success Loop engagement was a tremendous success and set a foundation for the rest of the project.

Success Loops Delivered!

The three project success factors the stakeholders highlighted were:

  1. the psychological safety that was enabled amidst a very political group.

  2. the slow thinking “My Time” work which provided higher quality discussion and debate.

  3. even the most introverted members of the team were heard loud and clear.
